About Game Play

Founded in 2015 (previously known as Sports School), GamePlay is a pioneer in promoting sports education and soft diplomacy in Bangladesh. Our journey started with the mission of educating young enthusiasts about the sports industry, offering workshops on sports reporting, commentary, and presentation nationwide. Many of our students are now successfully working in various media outlets.

In 2016, after the Holy Artisan incident, GamePlay introduced the concept of ‘Soft Diplomacy’ to Bangladesh. With the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ support, we launched the Embassy Football Tournament, which now brings together around 20 embassies annually to promote friendship, safety, and cultural exchange through football.

Today, GamePlay has evolved into a dynamic platform, collaborating with embassies on various projects like indoor and outdoor events, fairs, exhibitions, and logistics. We are expanding internationally to represent Bangladesh in global soft diplomacy efforts.

GamePlay: Championing Soft Diplomacy Through Sports

Founded in 2015 as “Sports School,” GamePlay started with a mission to educate youth about sports careers. We conducted nationwide workshops on sports reporting, commentary, and presentation—many of our trainees now work across major media.

After the 2016 Holy Artisan attack, when Team Australia canceled their visit, we introduced the idea of Soft Diplomacy. In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we launched Embassy Football in 2018. Over 20 embassies participated, sending a strong global message about safety in Bangladesh.

Following its massive success, the tournament grew with each edition—even becoming an annual highlight for the diplomatic community. It’s more than football; it’s a platform for cultural exchange and friendship.

Today, GamePlay works closely with embassies on events, exhibitions, and logistics. We’re now expanding internationally to represent Bangladesh through sports and soft diplomacy.
